The collection consists of scrapbooks containing news clippings about sensational murders.

The fonds consists of correspondence, subject files, press releases and photographs. The Canadian Register was a Catholic newspaper that was published monthly in Kingston, Ontario.

The collection was brought together from several family branches related to the Griers, particularly from that of the Cartwright family branch. The collection is comprised of additional material from the Addison, Butler, Farrell-Purnell, Matheson, Stevenson, Stewart,and Dobbs families. Included in the collection are correspondence, journals, photographs, accounts and mementos of Brigadier-General George Strachan Cartwright, as well as photographs and a commonplace book of Anne Leman Purnell and Harriet Dobbs Cartwright. Among the photographs are images of Aden, Yemen, Delhi, India and Niagara Falls from the 1890s.

Collection consists of 73 photographs of Queen's buildings. The photographs were taken ca 1964 and are individually numbered beside each image. These numbers correspond to written description about each building (written description is enclosed in folder with the photographs). The written descriptions contain information regarding date of building, architect and cost.

Jean Richardson (ed 1965 & ed 1967), one photocopy of History of Wolfe Island Mrs. James Hawkins Ed (1967) and one phtocopy of "Kingston And District: Selected Publications", Historic Kingston, No. 15, pp. 67-90 (January 1967).

The collection consists of copies of drawings for Twin Oaks on Schooner Island, built circa 1920 for E.H. Morris, collected as part of the "Ah, Wilderness" exhibition at the Agnes Etherington Art Centre.

Antietam Battle Maps. Fourteen charts and maps related to the Battle of Antietam, September 17, 1862. The charts list the officers, the corps, the divisions and the brigades of both the Union and Confederate armies. The battle maps document the various portions of the two armies throughout the battle. Robert Blenderman sketches. Illustrate the proposals for the Frontenac County Jail and walls made by the Save the Jail Committee of the Sydenham Ward Ratepayers' Association.
