Fonds consists of microfilm copies of correspondence and other papers of Rev. John Stuart, Sir James Stuart, Andrew Stuart, Sheriff John Stuart from the Archives of Ontario as well as a small amount of original material comprised of correspondence, including some to Bishop White of Philadelphia.
Contains nineteen articles for constitution of the bank as approved by the directors. It appears from an article in the British Whig that the bank commenced operations in 1836.
Fonds consists of a Letterbook containing holograph copies of letters to his parents and his brother, describing life in Canada after Robert Craig's emigration from Scotland. There are also several letters back to his parents, from well-meaning parties, describing the tragic death, by drowning, of their son.
Photocopies of typescripts of correspondence between Sylvester and William Howard Lawton (his brother). These letters were written by Sylvester from Fort Henry prior to his execution in January, 1839.
