The letters are arranged alphabetically by correspondent and include such notable names as: Audrey Alexander Brown, Bliss Carman, Mazo de la Roche, Pauline Johnson, Peter McArthur, Nellie McClung, Tom MacInnes, Vincent Murney, Isabella Valancy Crawford, Charles Mair, L.M. Montgomery, Sir Gilbert Goldwin Smith and Sir John William. Also included are various typescripts and galleys for books written or edited by Hale and Garvin, as well as various typescripts from other authors collected by the couple.
