The office of the Vice-principal Health Sciences was responsible for ensuring harmonious relations between the University and the provincial Ministry of Health and with the institutions and organizations associated with Queen's that make up the Faculty of Health Sciences. The position was combined with the Dean of Medicine in 1988.

Fonds consists of records of the office and the secretariat for planning; consultants' reports detailing functional programmes for Kingston General Hospital, Hotel Dieu Hospital,; and the Kingston Health Sciences Complex; correspondence, financial records, photographs, booklets, and clippings relating to the 125th Anniversary of Queen's Medical School. The 122 computer disks contains the correspondence, reports, speeches, presentation, and other records from Duncan Sinclair when he was Vice Principal of Health Sciences.
