History

Physician, lawyer and politician. Born in England, immigrated to Upper Canada in 1812, serving with the London District Militia during the War of 1812-14 as paymaster. Member of the Executive Council from 1834 until expelled in 1838, and member of the Reform movement inciting the Upper Canada Rebellion. Died in Perth County.
