This collection of historical views and portraits was a generous donation to the Library by Dr. Adam Shortt and Senator Andrew Haydon. Dr. Shortt acquired these photos and engravings over a period of many years, and Senator Haydon donated the funds for framing the collection when it was to be donated to Queen's in 1924.

Collection consists of prints and photographs depicting people, places and events (primarily Canadian and British).
