Robert Porter Robin Bourne's address on violence and political authority. Bourne discusses the need for security measures in today's society in order to cope with escalating violence. He outlines efoorts to deal with international terrorism and emphasizes the co-operative effort is vital to success. He points out the conflict between the need for security and the need to respect individual rights in a democracy. Concludes that public trust is essential and must be increased by increasing public awareness of the problems. Side One: Introduction; J.A.
