The collection consists of correspondence of explorers who surveyed the boundary zones between Canada and the United States, and of several other diplomats, officers and aids who became involved in the arbitration of the border. There are also several bound and unbound manuscripts, including various treaties, arguments, awards, memorials and commissioners' proceedings relating to settlements of the Canadian-American border.

Includes manuscript in ink written on both sides of three pieces of birchbark concerning religious questions and gospel meeting held at Sharbot Lake, Ont., a letterbook for the period 1868-1873, relating to the finances of Grant's church in Halifax (volume 1); correspondence relating to the biography of Principal Grant by his son, W.L. Grant, 1902-1904 (volume 13). Letters from Grant to several well-known figures including Andrew Drummond, C.J. Low, Charles Mair, Sandford Fleming, Alexander Morris, Alfred E. Lavell, William Snodgrass and James Williamson.

Teaching and Research Assistants Certification Campaign
This collection includes a small amount of material directly pertaining to Morgan himself, such as his appointment as archivist, as well as correspondence relating to his work as an historian and archivist. The majority of the documents are those recieved by Morgan in his active documentation of the history of certain regions in Ontario. The majority of the material is from the Morris family documenting the settlement of the Perth area, with additional material about the Radenhurst family and Justice John Wilson of the Superior Court of Upper Canada.

Internment operations research collection
This collection is a research collection of gathered and copied articles from a variety of Canadian newspapers such as: the Daily British Whig, Globe and Mail, Pembroke Observor and Standard, the Sault Daily Star, the Toronto Star, Porcupine Advance, The Morning Albertan, The Brandon Sun, The Winnipeg Telegram, Winnipeg Free Press, Daily Colonist, Vernon News and the Halifax Chronicle. The articles pertain to internment operations as reported upon by the local papers in the various geographical regions of Canada in which there were camps in operation. Also present is material from National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) in the United States, the Public Records Office in England and the Library and Archvies Canada pertaining to internment operations, war crimes and prisoners from both World War I and World War II.
