She begins by discussing several points she brought up in her lecture on excellence in education. Afterwards, she has the students work in pairs and perform several activities.

Video begins with Smith introducing Freeman, who talks about the MacClement lecture series and introduces Winner. Winner then lectures the audience about how they are going to be integrated into education in the future, and the difficulties they face in becoming part of the classroom environment.
