This collection consists of memorabilia from Hickey's time at Queen's University during the 1940's. Some of the material is inserted in a scrapbook and some is loose. The collection includes dance cards and dinner menus for various social events such as the Dog Patch Drag, Bohemian Ball, Fall Brawl and Arts and Medicine Formals. Other ephemera includes shooting range targets, war aid materials, flyers and pamphlets regarding the University Centennial in 1941 and student government elections (AMS), intercollegiate debates, drama guild and glee club productions. There are also a small number of items which pertain to the town of Kingston such as theatre playbills and tickets, the programme for the Kingston Ice Follies and various taxi cards.
Fonds consists of correspondence, minutes, and newletters relating to the Queen's Track & Field/Cross Country Booster Club; the Rolf Lund Memorial Meet; and reports relating to the "Review of Athletics and Recereation at Queen's University (the 'Crawford - Deakin Report')".
Fonds consists of photographs of family members; and local Kingston, Ontario landmarks including the Albion Hotel, located at the corner of Queen and Montreal Streets, and owned at one time by James Meecham Caines, portraits of J.M. Caines in military uniform, Simcoe House, located on Queen Street, residence at 177 Queen Street; and clippings.
Fonds consists of photographs of two medals awarded to Robert Kerr Paterson, as captain of the 1904 Queen's University Canadian Intercollegiate Rugby Football Union Championship Team; head and shoulders photograph of R.K. Paterson wearing the Tricolor sweater.
The item is an extensive, multi-part manuscript of a bibliography of Canadian Federation Royal Commissions and Commissions of Inquiry. Pages are hand-written, typed or have clipped excerpts from published catalogues stapled to legal sized sheets. There are extensive hand-written annotations throughout.
