Carl Shales sous-fonds

Sous-fonds consists of records created and received by Carl Shales during his service in the Royal Air Force in the First World War, as a flight trainer in the Second World War, and as a mechanic. Includes a photo journal of a car trip across Canada in 1928, and images of Kingston, as well as correspondence.

Calvin family estate sous-fonds

Forms part of : Kirkpatrick-Nickle legal collection. Rafting, ship-building and forwarding, Garden Island, Ont. Correspondence, financial records and legal documents of the Calvin family deposited in their lawyers' vault. A considerable amount of the material relates to the settling of the estate of D.D. Calvin, the founder of the company.

Browne and Harty estate sous-fonds

The sous-fonds was comprised of documents brought together as a result of the law suit of Browne v. Dollard in Chancery, 1872, which involved the winding up of the partnership. Included are business papers, business correspondence regarding land lots, and a number of land documents involving various land lots in the Kingston area.

Sous-fonds consists of a typescript with holograph notes for "Twentieth Century Canadian Poetry" which was edited by Birney; includes letter from Birney to Ryerson Press (1953 June 2) discussing book. Also a typescript for "David and other poems."
