Diaries of John William Kerr and his son, Frederick, reflecting their activities and observations on the fish and game population of Lake Ontario from the Niagara River to Belleville.

The fonds consists of thirty diaries and one notebook covering the years 1932 to 1960. The diaries and notebooks reflect the work the Somerville undertook during that time and include work at Niagara Parks, Queen Elizabeth Highway, and Fort Henry.

The papers cover the period from 1852-1938 when they end with the death of Dr. Agnes Craine. The bulk of the papers consists of consist of mortgages, insurance policies, stock holdings, day books and wills of three family members - John Joseph Craine, John Craine and Dr. Agnes D. Craine. There is also some correspondence from family relations, travel diaries of Agnes Douglas Craine, news clippings, wills and estate holdings of Craine relations from the Isle of Man, and a brush drawing of Douglas Craine.
