Hear to See - Experiences in Looking at Art, Agnes Etherington Art Centre, Ed Dept.

Main Speaker(s): Jeri Harmsen, Jack Henderson. Location: Agnes Etherington Art Centre. Edited video created to advertise the new Agnes Etherington exhibit called Hear to See, which was comprised of 6 viewing areas with a couch and a telephone. The couch allowed a visitor to view art in comfort, and the telephone would play facts about the painting before the couch. Additional material such as articles would be placed on a coffee table before the couch.

Hear to See II - Looking at Contemporary Art, Agnes Etherington Art Centre

Main Speaker(s): Jeri Harmsen, Jack Henderson. Location: Agnes Etherington Art Centre. Video was created to advertise the Agnes Etherington exhibit Hear to See II, which was created over 3 years after the original. Visitors would begin in an anteroom, which contained several art magazines and telephones that would play information on contemporary art. The main exhibit contained 6 different booths, each with a piece of artwork, a couch, and a telephone. The telephone would play comments on the artwork by the artist.

Bader Gift,The, Agnes Etherington Art Centre

Main Speaker(s): Alfred Bader. Location: Agnes Etherington Art Centre. Edited video with a voiceover on Bader's life and his donation of many priceless pieces of artwork to the Agnes Etherington Art Centre. Shows several of the paintings owned by Bader while he talks about his affinity for it. Afterwards various narrators introduce other pieces of artwork that were part of the Bader gift.

Video is a series of silent shots of different paintings donated by Alfred Bader to the Agnes Etherington Art Centre. Several different shots of the same painting are shown in succession from differnent angles focusing on different portions of the painting, before transitioning to another painting.

Agnes Etherington Expansion Funding Announcement 1995 Floyd Laughven

Main Speaker: David McTavish, Gary Wilson, Floyd Laughren, Dr William Leggett. Begins with a long shot of a crowd gathered in Agnes Etherington Gallery, no distinct voices can be made out. Camera pans to a podium where McTavish welcomes Laughren and talks about the Arts Centre. McTavish then introduces Wilson who in turn introduces Laughren McTavish then takes the podium and announces the funding for an expansion of the Arts Centre. Dr Leggett then thanks Laughren for the funding.
