School of Policy Studies Official Opening

Main Speaker(s): Agnes Benedickson, Lynn MacLeod, Flora MacDonald, David Smith. Location: Presumably Robert Sutherland Hall. Benedickson begins by introducing the important figures on stage before welcoming up MacCleod who talks about the importance of the school. MacDonald speaks on behalf of the federal government. Smith talks on behalf of the university, then Benedickson declares the school officially open.

Afterwards Susan and her mother Belle are brought into the interview to discuss how Susan's absence is affecting her, her mother, and her family. The Social Atom (edited)

Main Speaker(s): Donna Lee Schwammle. A pre-recorded video featuring Schwammle demonstrating the 'social atom' technique, which she would use to illustrate a client's social support network. She begins by writing the client's initials in a circle on the centre, before surrounding the circle in the initials of anyone who has an influence on her life. Afterwards they are asked to visualize the drawn 'atom' as a scene, and they use that as a point of discussion for the rest of the video.
