Keavis and the Son

Writer and Director: Ken Deschamps, Janice Robinson. Video is of a play written by Deschamps, directed by Robinson, and produced in part by the Queen's University Artist-In-The-Community Education Program. The play centers around a boy named Tyler who is transported to a forest with talking animals and meets a deaf girl named Keavis.

Rededication of Second World War Memorial Photographs, Queen's University at Kingston

Main Speaker: Jack Pike, Robert Burge, Stuart Webster, Chris McCreery. Location: John Deutsch University Centre. Video is of the re-dedication of photos of Queen's community members who died during WW2. Begins with Pike welcoming the audience and introducing rededication. Burge speaks about the re-dedication on behalf of the JDUC commity. Webster talks about the campus during WW2, followed by McCreery thanking the students for their contribution to the project. Pike then introduces several of the audience members who are related to those in the photos, one of whom speaks on behalf of the families. Rev. Brian Yealland concludes ceremony with a prayer. Last 6 minutes of video are black screen.

Queen's Great Debate at Homecoming 2007

Debate Topic: Climate change and the viability of the Kyota Accord. Main Speakers: Jane Taber, Elizabeth May, Buzz Hargrove. Video begins with Hitchcock introducing the homecoming debate topic before passing off to Taber who moderates the debate. Debate begins by May debating why Canada should hurry to fulfill the Kyoto Protocol, while Hargorve argues against. Afterwards, Taber asks each of the debaters 3 questions followed by another short debate between the two. Afterwards the debaters take questions from the audience for the remainder of the video.

Principal's Address Alumni Assembly

Main Speakers: Heather Black, Dr Daniel Woolf. Black begins by introducing Dr Woolf, who lectures the audience of alumni and QUAA members. The topic of the lecture sems to be on how Queen's can improve in the future. After he is done the audience members go around introducing themselves. Black then re-takes the podium to talk about the importance of Queen's alumni followed by a QUAA student member, the rector, an AMS representative, and a representative from SGRS.
