Cross-Faculty Teaching Forum: A Panel Discussion on the Report From the Queen's Task Force on Race Relations 1/2

Part 1. Main Speaker(s): Three members of the Queen's Task Force on Race Relations. Location: Donald Gordon Centre. Video contains a discussion presentation between the members of the Queen's Task Force on Race Relations on a report they developed race relations withing Queen's. They discuss several suggestions for how Queen's can improve it's race relations, such as by establishing a Race Relations Council and by transforming orientation into an educational experience to help welcome minority students. The audience members then discuss the contents of the report with the panelists.

He then intoduces Dr Hare, who lectures the audience on the relationship between international policy and the environment. Afterwards Dr Mustard delivers a speech on information technology and it's effect on the environment.

Video begins with dean of education talking about the MacClement lectures, before introducing Freeman who in turn introduces Dr Reardon. Dr Reardon then lectures the audience on the importance of building peace through education, as well as describing some fundamentalss for peace education. Olson, Morgan, and Bryans then join Dr Reardon on stage and discuss her lecture together.

Benedict then performs a traditional Iroquois greeting. Afterwards Dr Freeman introduces Castellano, who lectures the audience on the current state of Canada's aboriginal people, and how their situation is improving.
