Extensive records on the court house and jail date from 1850 to 1965. Among these records is a file relating to the new court house constructed in 1856. The subjects of the petitions range from a broken toll gate (1852) to the construction of a teacher's college (1852), a Wolfe Island Ferry (1852), and roads, bridges, toll roads and booths (1844 to 1965).
