This collection consists of architectural drawings for Queen's University buildings and properties such as Douglas Library, Stirling Hall, Ontario Hall, George Richardson Memorial Stadium, and Miller Hall. Many of these drawings are for later renovations.
The collection includes all printed records of the university, including statutes, statistics, academic calendars, reports, publicity material, football programmes, history, convocation and honorary degrees, and examinations; as well as publications by affiliated organizations, including student groups, clubs and associations. Includes the Queen's Journal, Queen's Gazette, Queen's Alumni Review, Tricolour (yearbook) and many other periodicals, newspapers and publications.

As a whole the fonds represents a comprehensive art collection documenting careers in teaching, painting and exhibiting, installations in stained glass, and participation in the Canadian art community, including World War II art commission.

The bulk of the records in the Eric Thrift fonds are from the time Mr. Thrift was a student at M.I.T. until he became a Professor Emeritus at Queen's University in 1981.
