Images of Books for Prisons. This initiative was the result of Brig. C.D Quilliam closing his bookstore on Brock Street In March 1956. He decided that any remaining books that were not sold would be distributed to the libraries of Kingston's three penitentiaries (Kingston Penitentiary, Collins Bay Penitentiary and the Prison for Women) and the Frontenac County Jail.
